A Weekend In Amsterdam

Hi lovelies,

So last weekend I was in Amsterdam for the very first time and it really is an amazing city for a European city break. All of my trips have been completely different, but a mixture of all three of them would give what I would consider to be a pretty amazing three day break. In any famous, popular city that is full of expectations, stereotypes and tourist attractions, there’s a definite need to get a balance between the typical tourist activities, and getting a more genuine feel for the place. This Amsterdam itinerary includes a mixture of both!

  1. Amsterdam is the Netherlands’ capital, known for its artistic heritage, elaborate canal system and narrow houses with gabled facades, legacies of the city’s 17th-century Golden Age. Its Museum District houses the Van Gogh Museum, works by Rembrandt and Vermeer at the Rijksmuseum, and modern art at the Stedelijk. Cycling is key to the city’s character, and there are numerous bike paths.
