You may have heard of them or even seen advertising for them. There are several brands out there that offer DNA kits where you can submit a sample of your own DNA and wait to get the results back. These results can tell you where all you're from. I've always wondered what percent of different ethnicities I may be, so I was stoked to get the chance to review MyHeritage DNA.

What I Bought Last Month || May 2020 Makeup Haul

A few weeks ago I was feeling really fed up and kinda unhappy with everything in my makeup bag. Don't get me wrong, the products I usually use are great, but applying the same products over and over again with the same result... I need some change! I decided I’d have a little refresh and treat myself with some new products that I’ve been wanting to try for a while. To kick off 2020, putting the past few months, which were pretty tough behind me, I finally chose to treat myself as some kind of a 'fresh start' with a huge beauty run and got some new makeup! Some of the products I’ve never used, but have been dying to try and the rest of the products I ran out of. I decided to wait a week after purchasing to write this so I could include some reviews of the products, showing you the most interesting ones & what I think about these products so far. Let's start with the first one!

While I’ve been on the luxury mascara bandwagon for some time now, I do still love to try out drugstore mascaras occasionally. There is something to be said about only spending a tenner on something that needs to be tossed out every 2-3 months! When I saw the Maybeline Lash Sensational Luxurious Mascara had not only an exclusive fanning brush with ten layers of bristles, but also promised a volumizing formula which is infused with precious oils for softer, denser lashes, ophthalmologist tested, ( perfectly for my lashes currently causing trouble for unknown reasons ) I knew I needed to try it. After all, spending a third of the price on a mascara just as good as it sounds would be too good to be true… so is it?

5 Cheap Makeup Products That I Will Always Repurchase

The beauty industry launches new products at the speed of lightning, and there’s always a fresh, innovative and exciting invention to grab your attention. So it would be very easy to completely refresh your makeup bag every three months, if you desired. I’m quite traditional, however. And when I find something that works I stick to it like glue!

Let's be honest, after all we all have those “holy grail” beauty products that we repurchase time after time - and for good reason. They work! And I’m sharing 5 of my all-time “purchasable for everyone” favourites below.

I have a lot of explaining to do about where I've been in the past few months and why I suddenly disappeared, but don't worry, I can already tell you that it wasn't by choice, I in fact didn't get tired of blogging, I didn't lose my motivation and neither my passion. 
So, starting around March/April 2019 I abruptly felt bad, not just mentally but especially physically. I wasn't able to do anything anymore, I constantly was in pain, feeling pretty strange and weak, still thinking it was nothing serious, thinking I didn't need to see a doctor, even though this feeling lasted for months. The peak of the whole situation was while I spent some time with my parents at home, during the summer holidays. I felt pretty weird that morning, in pain once again, but still thought it was nothing too serious, since I had a bunch of stuff to do that day - then something occurred that shouldn't have happened, the next thing I remembered was waking up in the hospital. Everyone was in shock, pretty important to add that my whole family is healthy, there are no diseases going around, telling me that I had some pretty bad seizure ( not wanting to imagine what would have happened if I was all alone in my own flat ), my blood values were horrible, just like a rapid diagnosis that apparently I suffer from epilepsy, without any kind of reasons until this day. 
I would describe myself as pretty strong, not wanting to sound too dramatic - it is what it is, I accepted it, after some time of recovery I managed to live a normal life again but with medicine & doctor appointments every now and then.

My life is luckily pretty normal again, I'm in my own flat, going to Uni, I am happy, just living my life even tho' all the time I missed blogging pretty badly, after all it was a part of me for years.
So here I am, stronger than ever, can't wait for this new era to start now!

A Weekend In Amsterdam

So last weekend I was in Amsterdam for the very first time and it really is an amazing city for a European city break. All of my trips have been completely different, but a mixture of all three of them would give what I would consider to be a pretty amazing three day break. In any famous, popular city that is full of expectations, stereotypes and tourist attractions, there’s a definite need to get a balance between the typical tourist activities, and getting a more genuine feel for the place. This Amsterdam itinerary includes a mixture of both!

It was the third time going to one of my favourite cities in Europe: London. Well to be fair, this trip was planned very spontaneous, which means within a week, since I was invited to the Comic Relief event in London, which I clearly couldn't miss out but it was also a great opportunity to see London again, since I missed it pretty much, for a pretty long time by now.
I mean just 1 hour with by plane, I clearly didn't have any excuse! There is something so special about that city: the architecture, the people and the sweet coffeshops that makes me want to come back more often. It was quite a chill week since I really wanted to relax and enjoy the city like a real Londoner instead of running everywhere in order to visit all the touristy spots.
